The Institute for the Public Services launched its research library in 2020 with the aim of offering a point of reference for Public Officers wishing to undertake research and further their studies on subjects related to the work of the Public Service.

Public Officers may avail themselves of a limited lending service in case they would like to borrow books and other reference material from the IPS Library.

IN VIEW OF THE CURRENT COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS, ALL SERVICES OFFERED IN RELATION TO THE IPS LIBRARY ARE BEING OFFERED ON A BEST-EFFORT BASIS. PUBLIC OFFICERS WISHING TO MAKE USE OF THE LIBRARY ARE ASKED TO CONTACT IPS IN ORDER TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO VISIT THE LIBRARY.  PUBLIC OFFICERS ARE ASKED TO SEND AN EMAIL ON ips@gov.mt

OPENING HOURS

The IPS Library is open during the standard office hours applicable to the Malta Public Service.

STUDY DESKS

In line with the Public Service’s launch of remote work spaces, distributed in various locations around Malta and Gozo, IPS has made available a limited number of study spaces located in the IPS Library for use by Public Officers who wish to carry out their research and studies remotely and do not wish to study from home.

Public officials wishing to make use of these study desks must submit their request using the booking form which can be accessed by clicking on this link.

It should be noted that all public health measures are being taken to enable officials to study with peace of mind.
